ROOTS AND SHOOTS: THE GIVING TREE

Day 1 of Roots and Shoots Candy Tree Campaign

Oddly, at first the kids were very reluctant to take candy off the tree. So we added a whole lot more candy to the poster, messed it up a bit, and added the "Free Candy!" Sign. Then people were less intimidated, and start taking he candy without the guilt.

Candy ran out, a few greedy children, and a lot of verbal explanation about the event...
I think it went well :)

Roots and Shoots Animation

An Animation that is planned to be shown
on the foyer plasma TV screen.

We are campaigning for the upcoming event by Roots and Shoots, an organization that promotes peace, human and animal rights, and protecting the environment.

There will be a free candy tree installed in our new OMG board (the bulletin board in the foyer, right next to the front door) starting on Tuesday, where you can take off candy off the tree, which will have a tag attached to it! The tag will include the address, time and date of the event.
The tree will be "replenished" every break/every day depending on the popularity, and will be looked after by a prefect on duty at the time.

besides that, we have a facebook event where we invited 600+ people. more than 20 people are attending already! :)

A group of GCSE students are also working on a documentary for Roots and Shoots, and I will be adding that to my animation video to also play in the foyer.

Everything is going quite well :)
